Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

Chartway Street, Kingswood (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chartway Street, Kingswood, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Gravelley Bottom Road and the junction with Broomfield Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street and vice versa.



Clapper Lane, Staplehurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clapper Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 23rd June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20 metres either side of the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clapper Lane, Marden Road, A229 Station Road, A229 Maidstone Road, Clapper Lane and vice versa.



Cox Street, Yelsted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cox Street, Yelsted, on or after 24th June 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with White Hill Road to the junction with Yelsted Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via White Hill Road, Matts Hill Road, Matts Hill Lane, Matts Hill, Yaugher Lane, Yelsted Road, Yelsted Lane and vice versa.



Granville Road, Maidstone (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow surface and foul water drainage connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Granville Road, Maidstone, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the development. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Peel Street, Gladstone Road, Boxley Road.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Boxley Road, John Street, Peel Street.



Granville Road, Maidstone, ME14 2SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Granville Road, Maidstone, on or after 6th July 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Factory. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:

Diversion 1 - Boxley Road, John Street, Peel Street, Granville Road.

Diversion 2 - Peel Street, Gladstone Road, Boxley Road, Granville Road.



Heathfield Road, Penenden Heath, ME14 2DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water cover repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heathfield Road, Penenden Heath, on or after 6th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 19. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heathfield Road, Penenden Heath Road, Boxley Road, Heathfield Road and vice versa.



Paynes Lane, Loose, ME15 9UN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Paynes Lane, Loose, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 25. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Paynes Lane, Pear Tree Lane, Norrington Road, Berwyn Grove and vice versa.



Spot Lane, Bearsted, ME15 8PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow electricity cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spot Lane, Bearsted, on or after 6th July 2026 for up to 18 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A20 Ashford Road to the junction with Shirley Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, Deringwood Drive, Mallard Way, Spot Lane and vice versa.



The Green, Boughton Monchelsea, ME17 4LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Green, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 6th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Walnut Tree Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Green and vice versa.



Trevor Drive, Allington, ME16 0QB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Trevor Drive, Allington, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Ernest Drive for approximately 40 metres in a West direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ernest Drive, Leonard Close, Trevor Drive, Maxwell Drive and vice versa.



Water Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow overhead fibre cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Bearsted, on or after 26th June 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with The Street/Roundwell, for a distance approximately 2025 metres in a North direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, Pilgrims Way, Thurnham Lane, Ware Street, The Green, The Street and vice versa.
