(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN WOODSIDE AND WATFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-

1. that length of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside and A41 North Western Avenue/Cole Way/Otterspool Way, Watford from its junction with the A41 Dome roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A41(M)1 Berrygrove roundabout, a distance of approximately 1915m.

An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, A411 (Hempstead Road/Hyde Road/The Avenue/Beechen Grove) and A4008 Stephenson Way.

2. the A41 northbound slip road leading onto A41 North Western Avenue/Cole Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/(M)1 (junction 5) roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A41 North Western Avenue/Cole Way, a distance of approximately 420m.

An alternative route will be via A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Hempstead Road) and A41 North Western Avenue.

3. the A41 southbound slip road leading onto the A4008 Stephenson Way/(M)1 (junction5) roundabout, from its junction with A41 North Western Avenue/Cole Way south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 426m.

An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, A411 (Hempstead Road/Hyde Road/The Avenue/Beechen Grove) and A4008 Stephenson Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 29 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILTON DRIVE AND THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.156-170 FURZEHILL ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Milton Drive, Borehamwood from its northernmost junction with Furzehill Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 34m.

An alternative route will be via Furzehill Road, Tennyson Avenue and Milton Drive.

2. the service road fronting Nos.156-170 Furzehill Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Milton Drive north eastwards and south eastwards a distance of approximately 23m.

An alternative route will be via Furzehill Road and the service road fronting Nos.156-170 Furzehill Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 1 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CONTRAFLOW CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF ASCOT ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the contraflow cycle lane situated on the west side of Ascot Road, Watford from its junction with the access road leading to ‘Community Free School’ north westwards for a distance of approximately 200m (“the Contraflow Cycle Lane”).

Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

The Order is needed because the installation of cycle wands is proposed to be executed on or near the Contraflow Cycle Lane.

The Order will come into effect from 29 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Contraflow Cycle Lane.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VALLEY ROAD, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Valley Road, Rickmansworth from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.97 Valley Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Valley Road, The Drive, Nightingale Road, A404 (Chorleywood Road/Rickmansworth Road), Dog Kennel Lane, Berry Lane and Valley Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 29 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUSHMEY MILL CRESCENT, WATFORD, A412 WATFORD ROAD, CROXLEY GREEN) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Bushey Mill Crescent, Watford from its westernmost junction with Bushey Mill Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 560m.

An alternative route will be via Bushey Mill Lane.

2. that length of A412 Watford Road, Croxley Green from its junction with the Baldwins Lane roundabout south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with the A412 Scots Hill/The Green roundabout, a distance of approximately 2013m.

An alternative route will be via A412 (St Albans Road/Rickmansworth Road), A4178 (Cassio Road/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road/Deacons Hill), A4125 (Eastbury Road/Hampermill Lane/Sandy Lane), B469 Green Lane, A4125 (Church Road/High Street), A404 (Pinner Road/Rickmansworth Road/London Road/Church Street/Riverside Drive) and A412 (Rectory Road/Park Road/Scots Hill)

or via A412 (Scots Hill/Park Road/Rectory Road), A414 (Riverside Drive/Church Street/London Road/Rickmansworth Road/Pinner Road), A4125 (High Street/Church Road), B469 Green Lane, A4125 (Sandy Lane/Hampermill Lane/Eastbury Road), A4178 (Deacons Hill/Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road/Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road) and A412 (Rickmansworth Road/Watford Road).

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ALDENHAM ROAD, ELSTREE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Aldenham Road, Elstree from a point 380m north west of its junction with A411 Watford Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 291m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Aldenham Road, A411 (Watford Road/Elstree Road), A41 Tylers Way, Dagger Lane and Aldenham Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 29 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON A41 (NORTH WESTERN AVENUE COLE WAY/NORTH WESTERN AVENUE), WATFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A41 (North Western Avenue Cole Way/North Western Avenue), Watford from its junction with Woodmere Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 641m (“the length of Roads”), when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON ARUNDEL DRIVE, BOREHAMWOOD AND GARFIELD STREET, WATFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Arundel Drive, Borehamwood from its junction with Manor Way south westwards to its junction with Furzehill Road, a distance of approximately 502m.

An alternative route will be via Manor Way, Cranes Way and Furzehill Road.

2. that length of Garfield Street, Watford from its junction with Leavesden Road south westwards to its junction with Milton Street, a distance of approximately 154m.

An alternative route will be via Leavesden Road, Parker Street and Milton Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Croxley Green Public Footpath No.018 from its junction with Rousebarn Lane south westwards to its junction with Links Way, a distance of approximately 89m (“the Public Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south west side of Rousebarn Lane, the footway situated on the south east side of Little Green Lane and the footway situated on the north east side of Links Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Larches, Watford from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road north westwards for its entire length (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bridle Path, Watford from its junction with Station Road north eastwards to its junction with St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 48m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because gas works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 16 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD) ORDER NO.2 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Woodmere Avenue, Watford from its junction with A41 North Western Avenue Cole Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 63m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue Cole Way/North Western Avenue), A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Woodmere Avenue

or via A41 (North Western Avenue Cole Way/North Western Avenue), A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane, Tudor Avenue and Cole Way.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from A41 North Western Avenue Cole Way into Woodmere Avenue, Watford, whilst signs are in place.

An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue Cole Way/North Western Avenue), A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Woodmere Avenue.

3. The existing one way traffic system on Cole Way, Watford from its junction with Woodmere Avenue north westwards to its junction with Tudor Avenue, a distance of approximately 272m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 13 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, BOREHAMWOOD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Borehamwood as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 15 June 2026.

The proposals as advertised on 6 February 2026 were modified as a result of the statutory consultation. This includes an amendment to the no waiting at any time restrictions on the junction with Arundel Drive and Sandringham Close where the restrictions have been extended further into Sandringham Close.

SCHEDULE:

No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plans – Parts of Furzehill Road, Oakwood Avenue, Elmwood Avenue, Arundel Drive and Sandringham Close.
