Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AREA
D1348 Sole St Junction With D1351 Church Lane To D1349 Sole Street Junction With D1352 Church Lane, Crundale, CT4 7EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of D1348 Sole St Junction With D1351 Church Lane To D1349 Sole Street Junction With D1352 Church Lane, Crundale from 6th July 2026, with estimated completion by 10th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Hunters Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via D1348 Sole St Junction With D1351 Church Lane To D1349 Sole Street Junction With D1352 Church Lane, Church Lane From Junction With Sole Street To End, Sole Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bank Road, Aldington, TN25 7DH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bank Road, Aldington from 23rd June 2026, with estimated completion by 26th June 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Cottage, Roman Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roman Road, Bank Road, Coopers Lane, Colliers Hill, Chequer Tree Farm Road, Frith Road, Roman Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chapel Lane, Egerton, TN27 9EL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, Egerton from 7th July 2026, with estimated completion by 10th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Mount Zion Free Church, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forstal Road, Crocken Hill Road and Chapel Lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Charing Heath Road, Charing. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Charing Heath Road, Charing from 22nd June 2026, with estimated completion by 27th June 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Four Acres heading 50m to the farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pluckley Road, Station Road, A20 Ashford Road, Maidstone Road, Forstal Road, Lenham Forstal Road, Lenham Heath Road, Church Hill, Egerton Road, Charing Heath Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Lane, Shadoxhurst. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, Shadoxhurst from 22nd June 2026, with estimated completion by 30th June 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Jenkey Farm and Red House Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodchurch Road, Hornash Lane, Hamstreet Road and Birchett Lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
New Road, Egerton, TN27 9DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of New Road, Egerton from 23rd June 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Rock Hill Road heading southbound for approximately 210m, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rock Hill Road, Mundy Bois Road, C86 Mundy Bois Road Junction With C146 Pinnock Road To Junction With Green Hill Lane, The Pinnock, Smarden Road, Forge Hill, Egerton Road, New Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Norton Lane, Bethersden, TN26 3AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Norton Lane, Bethersden from 26th June 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Pluckley Road and Wissenden Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pluckley Road, Mill Road, The Street, Church Hill, St Margarets Place, Wissenden Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Swain Road, Tenterden, TN30 6PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Swain Road, Tenterden from 22nd June 2026, with estimated completion by 24th June 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Timberdyne, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Swain Road, A28 Ashford Road, Silver Hill, B2080 Beacon Oak Road, B2067 Woodchurch Road, Brook Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tuesnoad Lane, Bethersden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tuesnoad Lane, Bethersden from 24th June 2026 with estimated completion by 25th June 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 300m east of number 3, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tuesnoad Lane, Wissenden Green, Wissenden Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Waltham Road, Hastingleigh, TN25 5JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Waltham Road, Hastingleigh from 8th July 2026, with estimated completion by 10th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Hassel Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashenfield Road, Woods Hill, Richdore Road, Kake Street, Anvil Green Road, Waltham Road, Broadway, The Street, Town Road, B2067 Stone Street, Thorn Lane, Dean Hill, Dean Bottom, Spong Lane, From Dean Bottom To Holt Farm, From Dean Bottom To District Boundary, Evington Road From Junction With The Street To Boundary Line and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Wind Hill Lane, Charing, TN27 0BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wind Hill Lane, Charing from 6th July 2026, with estimated completion by 15th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Cherry Tree Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cherry Tree Road, Wind Hill Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Wissenden Lane, Bethersden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wissenden Lane, Bethersden from 6th July 2026, with estimated completion by 8th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Wissenden House Oast, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wissenden Lane, Church Hill, St Margarets Place, The Street, Mill Road, Pluckley Road, End Of Pluckley Road At River Beult To Chambers Green Road, Station Approach, Chambers Green Road, Smarden Road, Romden Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Various Roads, Smarden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow new water mains works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of various roads in Smarden from 22nd June 2026, with estimated completion by 5th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
Mill Lane will be closed between the junction with Pluckley Road and Millview Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for traffic (excluding HGV’s) is via Mill Lane, Water Lane, The Street and Pluckley Road.
The alternative route for HGV’s is via Bell Lane and The Pinnock.
No heavy goods vehicles exceeding 7.5T will be able to use Water Lane, Pluckley Road and Lewd Lane, except for access only.
