(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025
To protect public safety during works being completed to construct a new building providing changing, toilet and storage facilities in accordance with planning consent granted under permission WD/2022/0223/F, the Secretary of State has extended the above East Sussex County Council’s Order made on 6 June 2025 under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:-
Temporary Footpath Closure
Part of Public Footpath Hailsham 9b will be closed between TQ 5865 0927 and TQ 5862 0921 for a distance of 66 metres. An alternative route will be available mostly parallel to the east of the existing path with a short section parallel to the west of it.
The closure will be in force for 12 months from 16 June 2026, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unfit to use.

The East Sussex (U2184 Seaville Drive, Eastbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Seaville Drive – from the junction with U2184 Rotunda Road to the junction with A259 St Anthonys Avenue.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 29 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 29 June and 1 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Latimer Road – from the junction with U2160 Carlton Road to the junction with U2160 Beamsley Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2160 Latimer Road, Beamsley Road, Rylstone Road, Carlton Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 6 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C40 Jevington Road, Willingdon/Wannock/Jevington)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Jevington Road – from the junction with C40 Wannock Road to the junction with P8062 Green Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C40 Wannock Road – A2270 Eastbourne Road, Willingdon Road, Crossways roundabout, Willingdon Road, Upperton Road – A259 The Goffs, High Street, Church Street, East Dean Road, Eastbourne Road, Friston Hill – C40 Jevington Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 29 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 29 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
High Street – from the junction with B2191 Castle Road to the junction with A259 Bexhill Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic southbound via B2191 High Street – A259 Wallsend Road, Eastbourne Road, Pevensey Bay Road, Martello roundabout, Pevensey Bay Road, Crumbles roundabout, Pevensey Bay Road, Langney roundabout – B2104 Langney Rise, Hide Hollow roundabout – B2191 Hide Hollow, Priory roundabout, Eastbourne Road, High Street, Castle Road and northbound via B2191 High Street, Castle Road, High Street, Eastbourne Road, Priory roundabout, Hide Hollow – B2104 Hide Hollow roundabout, Langney Rise – A259 Langney roundabout, Pevensey Bay Road, Crumbles roundabout, Pevensey Bay Road, Martello roundabout, Pevensey Bay Road, Eastbourne Road, Richmond Road, Wallsend Road.
The Order commences 30 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 21:00hrs to 05:00hrs between 30 June and 2 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
