The East Sussex (Public Footpath Bexhill 62b)
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026
To protect public safety during culvert repair works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:
Temporary Footpath Closure
The whole of Public Footpath Bexhill 62b will be closed between TQ 6956 0682 (Bexhill 62c and 74b) and TQ 7032 0735 (Bexhill 62a and 78) for a distance of 970 metres. Unfortunately, there is no alternative route.
The Order is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Act 1984, as amended.
The closure will be in force for 6 months from 12 June 2026, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (U6953 Telham Lane, Battle)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Telham Lane – from the junction with C27 Powdermill Lane to the junction with C93 Telham Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C93 Telham Lane – A2100 Hastings Road, Battle Hill, Lower Lake – C27 Powdermill Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 30 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 30 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Bethune Way – from the junction with U3171 Lower Park Road to the junction with A2101 Park Gates roundabout.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2101 Park Gates roundabout, Queens Road – U3169 South Terrace – U3178 Braybrooke Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 30 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 June and 17 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Goddens Close – for its full extent.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 16 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 18 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Cottage Lane – from the junction with C22 Harts Green to the junction with A28 Main Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Main Road – C22 Wheel Lane, Harts Green and vice versa.
The Order commences 17 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 and 18 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Watermill Lane – from the junction with C23 Pett Road to the junction with A259 Main Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259(T) Main Road – U6966 Workhouse Lane, Windmill Lane – U6418 Hog Hill, Pannel Lane – C23 Pett Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 17 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 and 18 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Butchers Lane – from the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane to the junction with A259 Rye Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259(T) Rye Road, Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Winchelsea Road – A259 Rye Road – B2093 Old London Road, The Ridge – C639 Ivyhouse Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 17 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Wheel Lane – from the junction with A28 Church Lane to the junction with C22 Harts Green.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Church Lane, Westfield Lane, Ebdens Hill – A21(T) Ebdens Hill, Kent Street, Whydown Hill, New Road – B2244 Tollgate Road – C22 Chapel Hill, Cottage Lane, Harts Green and vice versa.
The Order commences 13 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Woodland Vale Road – at the junction with A2102 London Road.
Diversion via U3149 Woodland Vale Road – U3148 De Cham Road, Southwater Road – U3146 Hatherley Road – A2102 London Road and vice versa.
Tower Road – at the junction with A2102 London Road.
Diversion via U3154 Tower Road – U3151 St Peters Road – U3156 Chapel Park Road – U3148 De Cham Road, Southwater Road – U3146 Hatherley Road – A2102 London Road and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commenced 13 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 19 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
