What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY CYCLE LANE CLOSURE (LOWER SLOANE STREET) 2026

The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Schedule 1, Section 14(1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in the roads cited below.

Lower Sloane Street cycle lane, to be closed outside No. 83 to No. 95.

The cycle lane will be closed to cyclists for utility works.

The restrictions will come into force between 9.30am and 6.00pm on Thursday 25th June 2026.

Cyclists are to be diverted into the southbound carriageway.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
- anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
- anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
