DYMA HYSBYSIAD bod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Rhondda Cynon Taf yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn, ar ôl o leiaf 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad yma, o dan Adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984, fel y'i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991, a fydd yn para deunaw mis ar y mwyaf.

Rhaid cau’r ffordd er mwyn cludo unedau modiwlar i hen safle M&S, gan gynnwys gosod craen symudol.

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(TAFF STREET, PONTYPRIDD)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

The closure is necessary to facilitate the delivery of modular units to the former M&S site, including siting of a mobile crane.

Temporary Road Closure
The effect of the Order will be to close Taff Street, from its junction with Crossbrook Street through to High Street and its junction with Sardis Road (including Penuel Lane, Gas Road, Temperance Place, Market Street, Church Street and Mill Street)

Alternative Route – available via Crossbrook Street, Gelliwastad Road, Catherine Street, Sardis Road Gyratory and Sardis Road to the southern end of the closure.

Please note the closure from Crossbrook Street will be put in place from 5pm, and will be manned by operatives, who will advise drivers of the need to exit via High Street before 6pm.

High Street will remain open until 6pm, when a mobile crane will be moved into place to allow the unloading of the modular units. Once the crane is in place it will not be possible to exit via High Street.

Advance warning signs will be installed on site at least seven days beforehand to inform the public of the upcoming closure.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians, emergency services and to premises (on foot only)

The closure is expected to be in operation between the following dates and times, or until such time as the works has been completed: -
• Evening closure 5pm – 10pm on Sunday 28th June 2026
