TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 150572595 : The City of Manchester (Brooklands Footway Resurfacing, Brooklands Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Arden Lodge Road, Ashstead Road, Clover Croft, Fern Bank Drive and Greenoak Drive. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Cranleigh Drive, Clover Croft vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway reconstruction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 29th June 2026 to the 3rd September 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 29th June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 16th June 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC 150617808 : The City of Manchester (Bloom Street & Richmond Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary One-way Traffic, Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting, No Loading) No Time Limit Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bloom Street between Chorlton Street and Princess Street & Richmond Street between Chorlton Street and Sackville Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate support to local business activity while ensuring pedestrian safety by temporarily regulating part of the highway for use as a managed outdoor seating area. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 29th June 2026 to 29th June 2030. The order shall come into operation on 29th June 2026 until such time that it is revoked.
