CROMARTY ROAD, AIRDRIE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
On 8 June 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on footway resurfacing) on Cromarty Road, Airdrie from the extended west kerb line of B802 Cairnhill Road to the extended kerb line at Cromarty Road by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: Vehicles on B802 Cairnhill Road at the east side of the closure wishing to travel to Cromarty Road at the west side of the closure should travel generally southwards on B802 Cairnhill Road, westwards on Sykeside Road, northwards on Cromarty Road, to the west side of the closure.
Vehicles on Cromarty Road at the west side of the closure wishing to travel to B802 Cairnhill Road at the east side of the closure should travel generally southwards on Cromarty Road, eastwards on Sykeside Road, north-westwards on B802 Cairnhill Road, to the west side of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Tuesday, 23 June 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Friday, 10 July 2026.
