ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

MONAHAN AVENUE, PURLEY

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works on behalf of SGN, they have made an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Monahan Avenue, Purley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place the entire length of Monahan Avenue will be closed.

  3. During the closure, traffic will be diverted via Woodcote Valley Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 15 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed by 20 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle involved in the said works.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  6. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement work by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Blake Road, Brickwood Road and Colson Road, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said work is taking place, parking may be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions may apply at any time as detailed below.

KENT GATE WAY, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate tram track works on behalf of TfL, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic on Kent Gate Way, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Kent Gate Way will be closed south–westbound at the tram level crossing adjacent to Lodge Lane roundabout.

  3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be as detailed below.

    • Via Kent Gate Way (eastbound), A232, Upper Shirley Road, and Gravel Hill.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 17 June 2026, and it is anticipated the works will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restrictions will not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

DRUMMOND ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of a new electrical supply on behalf of UKPN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Drummond Road, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Drummond Road between the western boundary of No. 71 North End and its junction with North End.

  3. During the closure the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via North End, Poplar Walk, Wellesley Road, Station Road, Tamworth Road, Drummond Road, Frith Road and Keeley Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 01 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 10 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Surrey Street will be closed between its junctions with Overton’s Yard and Fellmongers Yard.

  3. During the closure the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.

    • Via Selhurst Road, Upper Grove, Holmesdale Road and vice versa

    • Via Selhurst Road, Oliver Grove, Holmesdale Road and vice versa

  4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

    (b) a vehicle attending for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
