ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(MURRAY ROAD, BURY)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Murray Road, Bury – from its junction with Angouleme Way to a point outside the Home Bargains store

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate resurfacing and new raised crossing works

There will be no alternate route as it is a no through route

The Order comes into operation on 16/06/2026 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 8 weeks (non-market days only).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Holcombe Road, Bury – from outside property No.329 to property No.335

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate telecoms works

The alternate route will be via Bolton Road West, Bolton Road, Ramsbottom Road, Tottington Road, Chapel Street, Holcombe Road & vice versa

The Order comes into operation on 14/06/2026 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 1 day.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(WOODHILL ROAD, HUNSTANTON DRIVE, BRANDLESHOLME ROAD, BURY) (BURY AGRICULTURAL EVENT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public during the holding of Bury Agricultural event, the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be:-

1. To introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting in the following length of roads specified in column 2 during the dates and times specified in column 1 in the Schedule below:

From 07:00hrs to 18:00hrs 28/06/2026 Woodhill Road – westerly side from a point 15 metres south of Hunstanton Drive to a point 140 metres south of Hunstanton Drive
Woodhill Road – easterly side from its junction with Brandlesholme Road to a point opposite 34 metres north of the northerly kerbline of Hunstanton Drive
Woodhill Road – north easterly side from opposite a point 94 metres north of the northerly kerbline of Hunstanton Drive in a north westerly direction to Stock Street
Woodhill Road – north easterly side from a point 11.6 metres northwest of the westerly kerbline of Stock Street to a point 190 metres northwest of the westerly kerbline of Stock Street
Woodhill Road – north westerly side from Brandlesholme Road to a point 33 metres east of Brandlesholme Road
Hunstanton Drive – northerly side from a point 12 metres west of the westerly kerbline of Woodhill Road to Brandlesholme Road
Hunstanton Drive – southerly side from Brandlesholme Road to a point 20 metres east of Brandlesholme Road
Brandlesholme Road – easterly side from a point 25 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Hunstanton Drive to a point 25 metres north of the northerly kerbline of Hunstanton Drive

2. The proposed Order shall come into operation on 28/06/2026 and will remain in force on 28/06/2026 or until completion of the event, whichever is sooner.

3. If there are safety concerns, the restrictions may remain in place longer than specified above.

4. The restrictions will only have effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of traffic signs and/or notices.
