THE OLDHAM - KING STREET
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2026

The Oldham Borough Council on 16th June 2026 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of King Street from Barn Street to Union Street. The alternative route is via Manchester Street and Oldham Way.

The Order is to be made for public safety reasons due to a collapsed building and will be in force for 3 months from 16th June 2026, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
