(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
MANCHESTER STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
Manchester Street, from Hessle Road to the entrance of ASDA car park, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during installation of new electric connection.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 6th July 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 6th July 2026 and 1st August 2026.

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847
ORDER FOR THE PREVENTION OF OBSTRUCTION IN STREETS ELLA STREET, KINGSTON UPON HULL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 8th of June 2026, the Kingston upon Hull City Council made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 for the purpose of preventing obstructions in the length of street in the City of Kingston upon Hull hereinafter mentioned on the occasion of a Ella Street Festival, from 27th June 2026 to 27th June 2026
The Order:-
(a) prohibits any person (except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform) from driving, riding or propelling any vehicle or causing or permitting any vehicle to wait in or on that length of Ella Street between Newland Avenue and 135 Ella Street, Kingston upon Hull, between from 09:00 to 23:00 on the from 27th June 2026 to 27th June 2026,
(b) requires any person directed or permitted by a police constable in uniform to drive, ride or propel a vehicle or to cause or permit a vehicle to wait on or in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to obey the directions of the said police constable and of any other police constable in uniform, and
(c) requires all persons present in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to comply with the directions of any police constable in uniform.
The purpose of these closures is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Ella Street Festival.
The Order does not apply to fire brigade vehicles, ambulance and police vehicles.
The penalty for an infringement of the Order is a fine upon conviction not exceeding Four hundred pounds.
A copy of the said Order is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Reception Office at the Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull.
