THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
(DISTRICT OF BRIDGNORTH) (SPEED LIMITS) (PART 2)
ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT NO. 3) ORDER 2026

On 11 June 2026 Shropshire Council made an order to introduce a 30mph speed limit onto the following lengths of roads in Cosford:

30mph Speed Limit
Worcester Road West
The length of Worcester Road West from a point 14 metres north-west of the entrance to Cosford Air Base for a distance of 577 metres in a westerly direction.
Neachley Lane
The length of Neachley Lane from the entrance to RAF Cosford Museum for a distance of 572 metres in a northernly direction, to a point 23 metres north of the junction with Long Lane.
Long Lane
The length of Long Lane for its entire length between the junction with Neachley Lane to the west, and Newport Road to the east

Any existing speed limits at the above locations will re revoked.

These changes will come into effect on 16 June 2026.
A copy of the order may be examined during normal office hours (8:45am- 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:45am-4:00pm on Fridays) at Shropshire Council, The Guildhall, Frankwell, Shrewsbury.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or any provisions in it, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from 11 June 2026, apply for that purpose to the High Court.
