Hawkshead - Temporary Prohibition of All Traffic due to Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(C5021, HAWKSHEAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C5021, Hawkshead, from a point approx. 45 metres north of its junction with the U5025, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 30 metres.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C5021, B5286 and the B5285.

The Order will come into operation on 29th June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
