Temporary Closure of Public Footpath E46/10, Horton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Trasc Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath E46/10, Horton from grid reference SU 06894 06118 to grid reference SU 07824 06344, a distance of approximately 1000 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 1st July 2026 for a period of 26 weeks, however it is anticipated the works will be complete by 27th September 2026.

This Order is required to allow National Grid to carry out essential works to their power lines.
