Tendring, Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

(Clacton Road, Mistley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Clacton Road, Mistley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 245m south west of its junction with Long Road for a distance of approximately 300m in a south westerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001509840 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main upgrade works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.

An alternative route is available via B1035, B1352, A120, B1035 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 19th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Tendring Road, Stones Green)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tendring Road, Stones Green in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 415m west then south west of its junction with Honeypot Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30031164319 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Wix Road – Stones Green – Zc12, Clacton Road, Colchester Road, A120, B1035 and vice versa (with access only into Colchester Road, Stones Green Road and Heath Hospital Road).

The Order will come into effect on 19th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Wrabness Road, Wrabness)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wrabness Road, Wrabness in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Primrose Hill to its junction with Dimbols Hall Lane a distance of approximately 950m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2398765 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while signage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via B1352, A120, B1035, B1352 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 19th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Primrose Hill, Wrabness/Rectory Road, Wrabness & Primrose Lane, Ramsey)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Primrose Hill, Wrabness/Rectory Road, Wrabness, in the District of Tendring, from the junction of Wrabness Road for a distance of approximately 450m in a north westerly, north easterly then north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Primrose Lane, Ramsey, in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Wrabness Road for a distance of approximately 850m in a southerly then south easterly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 22nd June 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311003WGRGG75H, BC311004WGRGG75H & BC311005WGRGG75H – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

Alternative routes are available via:

1. B1352, Wheatsheaf Lane, Ash Street, Church Road, Station Road, Rectory Road and vice versa.

2. B1352, A120, Primrose Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 5th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
