Dronley Road, Dundee - Temporary Closure for Telecommunications Infrastructure Works
What is happening?
TRAFFIC ORDER
On 07/06/2026, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Dundee – Dronley Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2026, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 , so that telecommunications infrastructure works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 15/06/26, from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of 10 days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit all vehicular traffic from driving and waiting in or on: (1) C8 Dundee – Dronley Road between its junctions with U325 North Auchray Road (U326 - C8) and U324 Jeanfield Road (C7 - C8); (2) U324 Jeanfield Road (C7 - C8) from its junction with C8 Dundee – Dronley Road in a northerly then easterly direction for a distance of 790m or thereby; and (3) U325 North Auchray Road (U326 - C8) from its junction with C8 Dundee – Dronley Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 80m or thereby. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. The above closures will be founded on a rolling basis and the alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via (1) C7 Kirkton of Strathmartine Road and C8 Dundee – Dronley, and (2) U325 North Auchray Road (U326 - C8), U326 Templeton Road (A923 - C8), and C8 Dundee – Dronley.
