Leominster - Temporary Road Closure Due To Resurfacing Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U93609, Southern Avenue, Leominster, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U93609, Southern Avenue, Leominster, from the junction of Hereford Road to the roundabout with Enterprise Way. Grid Ref: 349820/259509.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Worcester Road onto Etnam Street, onto South Street, onto Hereford Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 22nd of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 nights.
