Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Green Lane, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 20m west of its junction with Southminster Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th July 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGNN1J9Z – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Green Lane, Maldon Road, Church Road, Southminster Road. Green Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
