(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bardfield End Green, Thaxted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 200m north east of its junction with Bardfield Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 10 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30052564424 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Sampford Hall Lane, B1051, B184, Bardfield Road, Bardfield End Green and vice versa (with access only into Bardfield End Green, Thaxted Road and Bardfield End Green Road).

The Order will come into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bartlow Road, Ashdon in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Thickoe Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGTMWT1PPTSB – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach Limited.

An alternative route is available via Bartlow Road, Ashdon Road, Dean Road, Bartlow Road, A1307, B1052, Ashdon Road, Walden Road, Church Hill, Bartlow Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Temporary Suspension of 18 Tonne Weight Restriction)

(Bartlow Road, Hadstock) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Bartlow Road, Hadstock in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Church Path for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the 18T weight restriction on that length of Linton Road, Hadstock in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Walden Road to the Cambridge District Boundary a distance of approximately 1217m as cited in “The Essex County Council (B1052, Linton to Saffron Walden) (18 Tonne Weight Limit) Order 2009” for the duration of the closure only.

The closure/suspension are scheduled to commence on 7th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001504646 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.

An alternative route is available via Dean Road, Bartlow Road, A1307, B1052, Bartlow Road, Hadstock Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Tye Green Road, Elsenham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tye Green Road, Elsenham in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Fullers Lane for a distance of approximately 35m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410322710 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bypass installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.

An alternative route is available via Belmar Road, Burton End Road, Church Road, Lower Street, B1051, B1351, Alsa Street, Sankes Lane, Pound Lane, Bedwell Road, New Road, Station Road, B1051, Hall Road, Fullers Lane, Tye Green Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Widdington Road, Newport/Widdington)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Widdington Road, Newport/Widdington in the District of Uttlesford, from the junction with London Road to the junction with Spring Hill a distance of approximately 960m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2407526 & EP201EH2407526A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via B1383, Debden Road, Widdington Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mill Road, Wimbish)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Road, Wimbish in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Munson Mill Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st June 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30077975657 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Maple Lane, B1053, B184, Mill Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 4th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Royston Road, Wendens Ambo)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Royston Road, Wendens Ambo in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately north east of its junction with Church Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd June 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410311658 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.

An alternative route is available via B1039, B1383, A1301, A505, B1368, B1039 and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 4th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
