Waltham Forest - Multiple Temporary Traffic Measures Due To Regeneration & Thames Water Works

LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST (LBWF)
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 –Section 14(1) - The Waltham Forest Regeneration Works) - (Hatherley Road E17) (Temporary Measures) - (No. 1) Order 2026
The Council of THE LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to enable the use of the highway in Hatherley Rd for the storage of materials and plant in connection with regeneration works in Hatherley Mews, in a safe and efficient manner.
The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, in Hatherley Rd, the south side, between the south-western kerb-line of Hatherley Mews and the common boundary of Nos. 7 and 9 Hatherley Rd;
(a) to prohibit motor vehicles from waiting or loading for any purpose, at "any time" and;
(b) to suspend any designated controlled parking spaces.
The Order would come into operation on 22nd June 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 2 months, however the Order has been extended to allow for contingencies.
The Waltham Forest (Thames Water) - (Forest Drive East E11) (Temporary Measures) - (No. 1) Order 2026
The Council of THE LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to enable lead service pipe relays works to be carried out by Thames Water in a safe and efficient manner, in Forest Drive East E11.
The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, in Forest Drive East, between the common boundary of Nos. 54 and 56 Forest Drive East and the common boundary of Nos. 48 and 50 Forest Drive East;
(a) to prohibit motor vehicles from entering, waiting or loading for any purpose, at "any time" and;
(b) to suspend any designated controlled parking spaces.
Alternative routes would be available via:
(1) Essex Road South, James Lane, Clare Road, Forest Drive East and vice versa;
(2) Essex Road South, Hainault Road (excluding restricted times), Colworth Road, Forest Road, Clare Road and vice versa.
The Order would come into operation on 27th June 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 2 days, however the Order has been extended to allow for contingencies.
The restrictions mentioned above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used:
(a) in connection with the said works or;
(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow).
NOTE: Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the above-mentioned roads which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
