(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Further to notice: Under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), which commenced on 06 May 2026 and 27 May 2026.
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 30, Stambourne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bridleway 16 to its junction with Finchingfield Road. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17 June 2026 to 17 December 2026, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing and is required for the safety of the public due to a rotten and damaged bridge. The work to make it safe will be programmed in due course.
Alternative route: Bridleway 16, Finchingfield Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect 17 June 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the bridge has been made safe, whichever is the earlier.
(Courtauld Close, Halstead)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Courtauld Close, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 30m south east of its junction with Parsonage Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd June 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03066834461/1 – Anglian Water Business (National) Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National) Limited.
No alternative route is available.
The Order come into effect on 4th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
