The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Stop tap repairs works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National) Limited.
An alternative route is available via Chitts Hill, Halstead Road, A1124, Eight Ash Green Interchange, A1124, Wood Lane, Porters Cottages, Fiddlers Hill, Mill Road, Church Road, Moat Road, Plummers Road, Wormingford Road, Fordham Road, B1508, Lexden Road, Newbridge Hill, Lexden Road, Newbridge Hill, Chitts Hill and vice versa.

(Great Bentley Road, Thorrington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Great Bentley Road, Thorrington in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Frating Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP40068381075 – GTM). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bellmouth construction works are undertaken by GTM.
An alternative route is available via B1029, A133, Heckfords Road and vice versa (with access only into Thorrington Road and Great Bentley Road).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Road, Great Horkesley and Burnt Dick Hill, Boxted in the City of Colchester, from the junction with Church Road to the junction with Horkesley Hill for a distance of approximately 2475m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2406490 & EP201EH2406511 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage defects works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rudsdale Way, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 75m north east then north west of its junction with Ambrose Avenue for a distance of approximately 45m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03166767490 – Anglian Water Business (National) Limited). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Thorrington in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 160m south west of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT3163495130032025 – Openreach Limited).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach Limited.
An alternative route is available via B1029, B1027, A133, B1029 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 18th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.12) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road, for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 18th June 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule.
