VARIOUS ROADS, LOUGHOR WARD
TRAFFIC CLAMING MEASURES AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME NOTICE 2026
NOTICE: is hereby given that on 11th June 2026 The Council of the City and County of Swansea made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and also introduced speed humps in pursuance of its powers as contained in the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (“the Regulation”) and Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (“the Act”) the effect of which is as set out in the Schedules below.
The order will be effective from 22nd June 2026, as set out in the Schedules below. A copy of the order and plan may be inspected during office hours at Y Storfa, 277-278 Oxford St, Swansea SA1 3EL.
Alternatively the documents can be viewed online at https://www.swansea.gov.uk/ permanenttro. Any person wishing to challenge the validity of the order or procedures used in making this order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date the order was made.
SCHEDULE 1
Revocations
The existing Orders are revoked insofar as they are inconsistent with the proposals hereinafter contained which relate to the length or lengths of the road or roads referred to in the schedules hereto.
SCHEDULE 2
Traffic Calming Measures
WAUN ROAD
Round topped tarmacadam road humps - 75mm high. At a point 7m south of the southern kerb of Jubilee Lane.
GLEBE ROAD
Plateau tarmacadam road humps - 75mm high
To be located in vicinity of 61/63 Glebe Road (approximately 23 metres west of the western kerbline of Bryn Road
SCHEDULE 3
Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time GLEBE ROAD
Southern kerbside
From its junction with the eastern kerbline of Ffordd Moriah in an easterly direction for 31 metres.
From its junction with the western kerbline of Ffordd Moriah in a westerly direction for 25 metres.
FFORDD MORIAH
Both sides
From its junction with the southern kerbline of Glebe Road in a southerly direction for 23 metres.
