A244 Hersham Road and B365 Ashley Road, Walton on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 10 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- a) B365 Ashley Road, Walton On Thames that extends from its junction with A244 Ashley Road, to its junction with Woodside (anticipated hours of operation 8pm to 6am). Alternative route:- Southbound – A244 Ashley Road, A244 High Street, A244 Hersham Road, A244 Robinsway, A317 Hersham By-Pass, A317 Queens Road, B365 Ashley Road and A244 Ashley Road. Northbound – B365 Ashley Road, A317 Queens Road, A244 Hersham By-Pass, A244 Robins Way, A244 Hersham Road and A244 Ashley Road. b) A244 Hersham Road that extends from its junction with A244 Ashley Road, southwards for 30m (anticipated to be operational for 24 hours each day). Alternative route:- Southbound – A244 Ashley Road, B365 Ashley Road, A317 Queens Road, A317 Hersham By-Pass, A244 Robins Way and A244 Hersham Road. Northbound – A244 Hersham Road, A244 Robins Way, A317 Hersham By-pass, A317 Queens Road, B365 Ashley Road, A244 Ashley Road and A244 High Street. 2. Suspend in entirety a) The “Surrey County Council Ashley Road (A244) Walton-on-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” and b) “The Surrey County Council Hersham Road (A244) Walton On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026”.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out improvements to the uncontrolled pedestrian crossing, including associated footway resurfacing and road markings and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures and suspensions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for affected residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

A25 Shere Road, A25 Epsom Road and A246 Epsom Road, West Clandon
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1.a) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northerly direction on A25 Shere Road, West Clandon from proceeding straight ahead onto A247 The Street and from turning left into A25 Epsom Road. Alternative route:- east on A246 Epsom Road, to return west on A246 Epsom Road, via the roundabout at its junction with D258 Shere Road. b) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northerly direction on A25 Shere Road, West Clandon from proceeding straight ahead onto A247 The Street and from turning right into A246 Epsom Road. Alternative route:- west on A25 Epsom Road, to return east on A25 Epsom Road, via the roundabout at its junction with the access road for “Merrow Park and Ride”. 2. Impose a maximum speed limit of 30mph in that length of:- a) A25 Epsom Road and A246 Epsom Road, West Clandon (westbound carriageway) that extends from the western side of its roundabout junction with the access road for “Merrow Park and Ride”, to a point 120m east of the eastern side of its junction with A247 The Street. b) A25 Epsom Road and A246 Epsom Road, West Clandon (eastbound carriageway) that extends from a point 120m east of the eastern side of its junction with A25 Shere Road, the western side of its roundabout junction with the access road for “Merrow Park and Ride”. 3. The “Surrey County Council Epsom Road (A25/A246) West Clandon (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2006” and “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in East Clandon (30 mph Speed Limit 40 mph Speed Limit and 50 mph Speed Limit) Order 2004” shall be suspended insofar as imposes a speed limit of 50mph in the lengths of A25 Epsom Road and A246 Epsom Road, West Clandon described in 2. a) and b) above.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm on weekdays (extended weekday working hours:- 8am to 9pm), and 8am to 3pm on Saturdays, within 1 month of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 June 2026. The banned turns specified and described in 1.a) and b) above will not operate simultaneously. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turns, suspension and speed limits, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes described above. The speed limits imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

D139 Beech Hill, Bowlhead Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D139 Beech Hill, Bowlhead Green. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach/Morrison Telecom Services Limited to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route:- Park Lane and Rutton Hill Road.

Water Lane (D169) Enton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 5 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Water Lane (D169) Enton as extends from the access for Chadworth Cottage to the access for Little Eton Cottage.
Alternative route – Station Lane, A286 (Church Road), A283 (Petworth Road), Culmer Lane and Water Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate duct installation and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 June 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained by road plates. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Horvath Close (D3866) and Rosslyn Park (D3866) Weybridge and Rushett Road (D6813) Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2026
On 5 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit waiting, loading and unloading at any time, by vehicles in that length of – (a) Horvath Close (D3866) Weybridge on the southern side of the road as extends from the western side of its junction with Hungerford Square (X68235) to the end of the road; (b) Horvath Close (D3866) on the northern side of the road and Rosslyn Park (D3866) Weybridge on the western side of the road as extends from the eastern side of the access road for the garages located to the east of the North West Surrey Synagogue to a point 8 metres north of the junction of Hovarth Close and Rosslyn Park; (c) Horvath Close (D3866) Weybridge on the southern side of the road and Rosslyn Park (D3866) Weybridge on the western side of the road as extends from a point 8 metres west of the junction of Hovarth Close and Rosslyn Park to the northern end of the lay-by located to the south of its junction with Hovarth Close; and (d) Rushett Road (D6813) Thames Ditton as extends from a point 19 metres to a point 36 metres southwest of its junction with Ewell Road (C161); and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Elmbridge) (Revocation and Consolidation of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Prohibition and Restriction) Order 2021” (As Amended) insofar as it affects that length of the roads specified in part 1. of this Notice.
This Order is required due to the risk to the public over parking near North West Surrey Synagogue and Kingston Liberal Synagogue. This temporary restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Guildford Town Centre Races (Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), for the purpose of holding a road cycling event, namely the Guildford Town Centre Races, organised by the Charlotteville Cycling Club. The effect of the Order is to impose the following temporary restrictions: (1) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads in Guildford specified in the Schedule to this Notice (including the junctions linking such roads). Such restriction shall also apply in relation to equestrians and to the leading or driving of horses or any other animals; and (2) Suspend that part of “The County Council of Surrey (Guildford) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1987” (as amended) that imposes a one-way system of traffic (northbound) on Market Street (D4004) and a one-way system of traffic (north westbound) on High Street (A3100), Guildford.
The Order will not apply to any pedal cycle or other vehicle being used in connection with; and will come into effect on 08 July 2026 for a period of one day, but the prohibitions and suspensions will only be operative while the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf displays the relevant traffic signs and is anticipated to apply from 12pm until 10pm. The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, vehicular access to and from premises along the lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice will not be permitted but controlled access for pedestrians and the emergency services will be maintained at all times. Emergency access for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas electricity water or electronic communications apparatus to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic will also be maintained. The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of the Act, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. Traffic will be diverted via North Street, Woodbridge Road, Onslow Street, York Road and London Road as appropriate.

Footpath Farnham Road to High View Road (FP616) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Footpath Farnham Road to High View Road (FP616) Guildford.
Alternative route – A31 (Farnham Road) and High View Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable National Highways to facilitate footpath improvements and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 6 July 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Clandon Road (A247) Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of eastbound carriageway of Clandon Road (A247) Send as extends from its junction with Portsmouth Road (B2215) to its junction with Burnt Common Cottages.
Alternative route – A247 (Send Barns Lane, Send Road, Broadmead Road, High Street, Kingfield Road and Wych Hill Lane), A320 (Egley Road, Guildford Road and Woking Road), A25 (Parkway), A3100 (London Road), A246 (Epsom Road), A25 (Epsom Road) and A247 (The Street and Clandon Road)
This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate high voltage works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 10 July 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Commercial Road (D4004) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1), 14(5) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Commercial Road (D4004) Guildford; and 2. suspend “The Guildford Traffic Regulation Order 1965” insofar as it affects Leapale Road to allow it to be used both ways during the works.
Alternative route – North Street and Leapale Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Walker Construction (UK) Ltd to facilitate S278 Highway Improvements and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation
of this Temporary Order that commences 3 July 2026 for 6 months between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, buses, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Puttenham Road (C20) Seale Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 10 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Puttenham Road (C20) Seale as extends from its junction with (D85) Totford Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “Chaucers”. Alternative Route: (1) Puttenham Road, Elstead Road, (C21) Hogsback, (C119) The Street, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A31) Hogs Back, (B3000) Puttenham Hill, (C20) The Street, and Seale Lane; (2) Seale Lane, (C20) The Street, (B3000) Puttenham Hill, (A31) Hogs Back, (A31) Runfold Diversion, Elstead Road, and Puttenham Road. This Order is required to facilitate overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

The Spinning Walk (D226) Shere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 10 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Spinning Walk (D226) Shere as extends from its junction with (C46) Shere Lane and for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction along The Spinning Walk. Alternative Route: The Spinning Walk, Church Hill, Church Lane, and Shere Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate underground cabling repair works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to the follow the signed diversion route.

Manorcrofts Road and Station Road (C10) Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 10 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Manorcrofts Road (C10) Egham as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (D7011) Wesley Drive to its junction with (C10) Station Road; (b) Station Road (C10) Egham as extends from its junction with (C10) Manorcrofts Road to its junction with (D3185) Rusham Road. Alternative Route: Manorcrofts Road, Stroude Road, (B3376) New Wickham Lane, (B388) Vicarage Road, (B3407) High Street, (B3407) Church Road, and Station Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate excavation and installation of new telecom pole and rigging works for, or on behalf of EE. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases. Phase 1: will be carried out over 8 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 5am, starting 22 June 2026; Phase 2: will be carried out over 4 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 5am, starting 14 July 2026, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Phase 1: Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. Phase 2: Access may be restricted while rigging works are taking place. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

London Road (Cycle Lane) (A3100) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in that length of; (a) London Road (Cycle Lane) (A3100) Guildford as extends from its junction with its roundabout with (D4012) Weylea Avenue and (D4012) Woodruff Avenue and for a distance of 78 metres in a north easterly direction along (A3100) London Road; (b) Suspend “The County Council of Surrey Epsom Road and Woodbridge Road (A25) and London Road (A3100) Guildford (Amendment of Cycle Lane and Cycle Lanes) (No.1) Order 2001” insofar as it affects that length of the Cycle Lane in Part (a) of this Notice. Alternative route for cyclists: via the footpath, dismounted. This Order is required to facilitate underground service connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access along the cycle lane whilst works are in progress. Vehicular access will be maintained at all times along the (A3100) London Road. No sole access will be affected.

Pewley Way (D4014) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Pewley Way (D4014) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4014) Semaphore Road to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.2 and No.4 Pewley Way. Alternative Route: (1) Pewley Way, Addison Road, Harvey Road, and Pewley Way; (2) Semaphore Road, Pewley Hill, South Hill, Sydenham Road, Jenner Road, (A246) Epsom Road, Hunter Road, Harvey Road, Addison Road, and Pewley Way. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new valve and hydrant water works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Shepperton Road (B376) Shepperton Temporary Speed Limit Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 20 MPH in that length of; (a) Shepperton Road (B376) Shepperton as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Laleham Farm” and for a distance of 200 metres either side; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Shepperton Road (B376) Laleham (40 MPH Speed Limit) (Amendment) Order 2018” or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. This Temporary Speed Limit Order is required to facilitate electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 06 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Wyke Lane (D66) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 10 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D66 Wyke Lane, Ash which extends from its junction with Guildford Road to its junction with Pound Farm Lane. Alternative Route – D67 Harpers Road and A323 Guildford Road. Alternative Route – A325 Portsmouth Road and A30 London Road. This Order is required to enable BT Openreach to facilitate telecommunication works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day between 9.30am and 3.30pm during the 12 month period of this Order which will commence on 11 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

North Street (C93) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of North Street (C93) Guildford as extends from its junction with Phoenix Court to its junction with Haydon Place (D4004).
Alternative route – A322 (Onslow Street), A31 (Farnham Road), A322 (Bridge Street and Onslow Street), A246 (York Road) and A3100 (London Road and High Street), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Walker Construction (UK) Ltd to facilitate S278 works on North Street and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 6 July 2026 for 9 months in two phases. Phase one will take place between the hours of 8.00pm and 5.00am and phase 2 is anticipated to have the closure in operation for 24-hours per day. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Public Bridleway and Footpath No. 270 (Bramley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway and Footpath No. 270 (Bramley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 was made on public safety grounds due to construction works in the field. The order came into operation on 18 December 2025 and was due to expire on 18 June 2026. It has now been extended until 18 December 2027 or completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot, horseback, bicycle or by any other means from entering or proceeding along bridleway no. 270 (Bramley) from a point 415 metres northeast of Rooks Hill road (grid reference 502456, 142809), generally northeast then north northeast for 160 metres to its junction with footpath no. 270 Bramley; and footpath no. 270 (Bramley) from the same point 415 metres northeast of Rooks Hill road, northeast for 15 metres.
Alternative route: from point A proceed northeast through the field to point B.
The temporary closure will only be operative when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the county council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

COMMONS ACT 2006 – SECTION 15(1)
Notice of an application for the registration of land as a Town or Village Green
To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern.
Application has been made to the Surrey County Council, Countryside Access Team, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford, GU4 7BQ by The Rev’d Dr David Neaum under section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007. The application seeks the inclusion in the register of town and village green of the land described in the Schedule below, which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green on 23 June 2025 by virtue of the land having been used as of right by a significant number of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood of Chiddingfold, for lawful sports and pastimes, for a period of twenty continuous years.
The application, which includes a plan of the land proposed for registration, may be inspected by appointment at the offices of the Countryside Access Team, Surrey County Council, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford, GU4 7BQ between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm, please contact commons.villagegreens@surreycc.gov.uk or call 07976 394660 to make an appointment to view the files or to be supplied with electronic copies. If the registration authority is satisfied that the land described below qualifies for registration as a town or village green, it will so register the land.
Any person wishing to object to the registration of the land as a town or village green should send a statement of the facts on which the objection is based to Surrey County Council, Countryside Access Team, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford, GU4 7BQ on or before 27 July 2026. Any representations that are to be taken into account by the Authority in reaching a decision on the application cannot be treated as confidential and will be copied to the applicant for comment and may be disclosed to other interested parties.
