What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(Temporary Closing Of The Green, Royston) Order No.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Green, Royston from its junction with Dog Kennel Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because sewer repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 29 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Flinthall Road, Anstey) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Flinthall Road, Anstey from a point 160m south east of its junction with Lincoln Hill south eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 2 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C11 (unnamed road), Nuthampstead from a point 130m north west of its junction with Raymouts Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via: C11 (unnamed road), Raymouts Lane, C11 (unnamed road), Barkway Road and C11 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 3 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of C11 (Unnamed Road), Anstey) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C11 (unnamed road), Anstey from a point 20m south west of its junction with Anstey Public Footpath No.005 south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via: Barkway Road, Nuthampstead Road, B1368 (High Street/London Road/Biggin Hill/unnamed road), Lincoln Hill, C11 (unnamed road) and Barkway Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 2 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

The Hertfordshire (High Street, Church Lane, Hodwell And West End), Ashwell (Restriction Of Waiting) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Ashwell as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 11 June 2026 during office hours, at: Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at: www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders, by selecting North Herts and looking at Ref: - NH00326.
