PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NOS. 22, 26, 27 & 28 DRAYCOTT IN THE CLAY PARISH AND NO. 37 (PART) MARCHINGTON PARISH TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit members of the public from proceeding along the following sections of Public Bridleway:
– Public Bridleway No. 37 Marchington Parish, from its junction with Marchington Cliff for approximately 163m in a generally easterly direction, to its junction with Public Bridleway No. 28 Draycott in the Clay Parish.
– The entire length of Public Bridleway No. 28 Draycott in the Clay Parish, from its junction with Public Bridleway No. 37 Marchington Parish for approximately 253 metres in a south easterly direction and then continuing for approximately 56 metres in a south westerly direction to its junction with Public Bridleway No. 26 Draycott in the Clay Parish.
– The entire length of Public Bridleway No. 26 Draycott in the Clay Parish, from its junction with Marchington Cliff for approximately 1280 metres in a generally south easterly direction to its junction with Banktop Road.
– The entire length of Public Bridleway No. 27 Draycott in the Clay Parish, from its junction with Public Bridleway No. 26 Draycott in the Clay Parish from approximately 207 metres in a south westerly direction to its junction with Forest Road.
– The entire length of Public Bridleway No. 22 Draycott in the Clay Parish from its junction to Woodedge Lane for approximately 135 metres in a generally southerly direction and then continuing for approximately 218 metres in a south easterly direction to its junction with Banktop Road.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to forestry works taking place in Bank Top Wood. No alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 30/6/26 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
