Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (Bridleways AK-674, AK-675, AK-676, AK-677 Alfrick) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by Worcestershire County Council on 4 July 2024 the effect of which is to close that part of Bridleways AK-674, AK-675, AK-676, AK-677 Alfrick to horse riders and cyclists and to pedestrians on Bridleways AK-676 and AK-677 for their entire length which was due to expire on 14 June 2026 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for the Department Transport until the works to which it relates have been completed or until 14 June 2027 whichever is sooner. Any further extension will require the approval of the Secretary of State.
The Order has been made due to collapsed bridleways.
Alternative route: For Horse riders and cyclists: Southerly on U62228 Folly Road then easterly on C2065 Road (Brockamin Lane), Alfrick and vice versa.
For Pedestrians: Southerly on Footpaths AK-691, AK-692 and AK-694, then easterly on C2065 Road (Brockamin Lane), Alfrick and vice versa.
(U51317 Rose Avenue, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
Order made: To close that part of U51317 Rose Ave from its junction with B4637 Tolladine Rd for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.
Reason: New gas main by Cadent.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Order made: To impose a temporary 30 mph speed limit on that part of A449 The Village and A449 Malvern Road from its junction with A449 Powick Hams Roundabout for a distance of 475 metres in an easterly direction and to temporarily suspend The Worcestershire County Council (A449/A4440 Powick Roundabout, Worcester) (40 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2008 on that part of the Highway.
Reason: Due to public safety concerns with the increase of pedestrians and cyclists as a result of the collapse of Powick bridge by WCC.
Exemptions: Special Forces vehicles.
Maximum duration: 18 Months continuing from 22 May 2026. Anticipated duration: 253 days (24hrs).
(A449 Malvern Road, Powick) (Temporary 30 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2026
Order made: To impose a temporary 30 mph speed limit on that part of A449 Malvern Rd from its junction with U62028 Sparrowhall Ln for a distance of 350 metres in an easterly direction and to temporarily suspend The Worcestershire County Council (A449 Powick) (50 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2023 for the duration of the work.
Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.
Exemptions: Special Forces vehicles.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 20 days (24hrs) between 15 June 2026 and 10 July 2026.
