Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the Scale of Charges detailed within Schedule 2 and to add definitions for ‘Peak Season’ means the period between 2 March and 31 October and ‘Low Season’ means the period between 1 November and 1 March for Part 1, 2(1) of the North Somerset Council (Various Sites) (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (Variation 4).

The new charges that apply will change from 8am on 6 July 2026:

Hawthorns Car Park, Clevedon (charges apply between 8am until 6pm), new charges for peak season, with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £5.10 (£5), all day £8.10 (£8), new charges for low season, with current charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £2.70 (£2.60), all day £4.10 (£4).

Salthouse Fields Car Park, Clevedon (charges apply between 8am and 6pm), new charges for peak season, with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £5.10 (£5). All day £8.10 (£8), new charges for low season, with existing charges in brackets, £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £2.70 (£2.60), all day £4.10 (£4).

Nailsea & Backwell Station Car Park, Backwell new charges with existing charges in brackets, 20 minutes £0.40 (£0.30), 24 hours £3.60 (£2.60), 48 hours £5.20 (£5.10), 72 hours £7.70 (£7.60), 96 hours £10.20 (£10.10), 7 days £12.20 (£12.10).

Carlton Street Car Park, Weston-super-Mare, new charges with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.70 (£1.60), 2 hours £2.90 (£2.80), 3 hours £4.10 (£4), 4 hours £6.10 (£6).

Grove Park Car Park, Weston-super-Mare (charges apply between 8am and 10pm) new charges with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.70 (£1.60), 2 hours £2.90 (£2.80), 3 hours £4.10 (£4), 4 hours £6.10 (£6).

Knightstone Causeway Car Park, Weston-super-Mare (charges apply between 8am and 10pm) new charges with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.70 (£1.60), 2 hours £2.90 (£2.80), 3 hours £4.10 (£4), 4 hours £6.10 (£6).

Madeira Car Park, Weston-super-Mare, new charges with existing charges in brackets, 4 hours £1.70 (£1.60), all day £4.10 (£4).

Melrose Car Park, Weston-super-Mare (charges apply between 8am and 10pm) new charges with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.70 (£1.60), 2 hours £2.90 (£2.80), 3 hours £4.10 (£4), 4 hours £6.10 (£6).

Beach Road Car Park (Kewstoke) (charges apply between 8am and 6pm), new charges with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.10 (£1), 2 hours £2.10 (£2), all day £3.10 (£3).

Bus Terminus Car Park, Sand Road (Kewstoke) (charges apply between 8am and 6pm) new charges with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.10 (£1), 2 hours £2.10 (£2), all day £3.10 (£3).

Walliscote Place Car Park, Weston-super-Mare (charges apply between 8am until 6pm Monday to Saturday), new charges with existing charges in brackets, all day £3.70 (£3.60).

Worle Parkway Diamond Batch Car Park, Worle, Weston-super-Mare, new charges with existing charges in brackets, 20 minutes £0.40 (£0.30), 24 hours £3.60 (£2.60), 48 hours £5.20 (£5.10), 72 hours £7.70 (£7.60), 96 hours £10.20 (£10.10), weekend ticket valid from 10am Friday to 10am Monday £5.20 (£5.10), 7 day, valid for 7 consecutive days from time of purchase £12.20 (£12.10).

This Notice only applies to the charges above and in all other respects the provisions of the North Somerset Council (Various Sites) (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (Variation 4) and all variations therein in force.

Notice of Variation: on-street parking charges

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 46A Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the Scale of Initial Charges detailed in Article 37 of the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and any subsequent variations.

The new charges that apply will change from 8am on 6 July 2026:

All existing P&D parking places (Weston-super-Mare), these charges apply between 8am and 6pm Monday to Saturday, 20 minutes new charge £0.50, existing charge £0.40, 1 hour new charge £1.70, existing charge £1.60, 2 hours new charge £3.70, existing charge £3.60, 3 hours new charge £4.70, existing charge £4.60.

All existing P&D parking places (Leigh Woods), these charges apply all week between 9am and 9pm, 1 hour new charge £1.30, existing charge £1.20, 2 hours new charge £2.10, existing charge £2, 3 hours new charge £3.70, existing charge £3.60, 4 hours new charge £4.70, existing charge £4.60, all day new charge £6.70, existing charge £6.60.

This Notice only applies to the charges above and in all other respects the provisions of the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and all variations will remain in force.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Ellesmere Road, Uphill, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 23 July 2026

Ref: T26-20

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway resurfacing and will become operative on 23 July 2026. Work will take place between 8am and 5pm. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works, anticipated to be 24 days (excluding weekends).

Schedule – Ellesmere Road for full extents.

Alternative routes – Ellesmere Road – Old Church Road, Uphill Way, Links Way, Thornbury Road and vice-versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Duck Lane, Wick Road, Wick St Lawrence, Ebdon Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 25 June 2026

Ref: SW26.27-013

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach Limited for tree cutting, cabling and civil works. This order will become operative on the 25 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 14 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Duck Lane from the junction with Muddy Lane to the junction with Wick Road. Wick Road from outside Chapel House to outside East Town Farm. Ebdon Road from the junction with Wick Road to the entrance of Ebdon Farm.
