ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MANCHESTER ROAD, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above pedestrian crossing under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to introduce a signal controlled crossing in the following locations:
a) Manchester Road, Burnley, from a point 7.64 metres northeast of its junction with the intersection Grimshaw Street for a distance of 3.27 metres in a north easterly direction;
b) Manchester Road, Burnley, from a point 6.33 metres southwest of its junction with the intersection of Grimshaw Street for a distance of 3.33 metres in a south westerly direction;
c) Hargreaves Street, Burnley, from a point 7.53 metres northwest of its junction with the intersection of Manchester Road for a distance of 3.34 metres in a north westerly direction;
d) Grimshaw Street, Burnley, from a point 7.41 metres southeast of its junction with the intersection of Manchester Road for a distance of 3.32 metres in a south easterly direction;
e) Manchester Road, Burnley, from a point 10.25 metres northeast of its junction with the intersection of Finsley Gate a distance of 4.12 metres in a north easterly direction;
f) Manchester Road, Burnley, from a point 12.01 metres southwest of its junction with the intersection of Finsley Gate for a distance of 4.16 metres in a south westerly direction;
g) Hammerton Street, Burnley, from a point 5.76 metres northwest of its junction with the intersection of Manchester Road for a distance of 4.14 metres in a north westerly direction;
h) Finsley Gate, Burnley, from a point 9.5 metres southeast of its junction with the intersection of Manchester Road for a distance of 4.15 metres in a south easterly direction.

A copy of the relevant notice and plan indicating the location of the crossing may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston, PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
