HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MANCHESTER ROAD, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (ROAD HUMPS)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, Lancashire County Council propose the following:
1. Introduce a junction table in the following locations:
a) Manchester Road, Burnley, from the intersection of the Centreline of Grimshaw Street and Manchester Road for a distance of 12.27 metres in a north easterly direction;
b) Manchester Road, Burnley, from the intersection of the Centreline of Grimshaw Street and Manchester Road for a distance of 10.93 metres in a south-westerly direction;
c) Hargreaves Street, Burnley, from the intersection of the Centreline of Manchester Road for a distance of 11.55 metres in a north westerly direction;
d) Grimshaw Street, Burnley, from the intersection of the Centreline of Manchester Road and Hargreaves Street for a distance of 11.55 metres in a south easterly direction;
e) Bull Street, Burnley, from the intersection with the Centreline of Manchester Road for a distance of 9.96 metres in a north westerly direction;
f) Manchester Road, Burnley, from the intersection of the Centreline of Bull Street for a distance of 8.46 metres in a south westerly direction;
g) Manchester Road, Burnley, from the intersection of the Centreline of Bull Street for a distance of 21.37 metres in a north easterly direction;
h) Red Lion Street, Burnley, from its junction with the intersection of Manchester Road for a distance of 8.9 metres in a south easterly direction.
2. Introduce a raised table in the following locations:
a) Nelson Square, Burnley, from its junction with Manchester Road and Nelson Square for a distance of 8.37 metres in a north westerly direction;
b) Healey Wood Road, Burnley, from its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 7.7 metres in a south easterly direction;
c) Stanley Street, Burnley, from its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 8.02 metres in a south easterly direction;
d) Saunder Bank, Burnley, from its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 7.2 metres in a south easterly direction;
e) Elizabeth Street, Burnley, from its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 7.91 metres in a south easterly direction;
f) Yorke Street, Burnley, for its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 5.93 metres in a north westerly direction;
g) Manchester Road, Burnley, from 14.9m metres northwest of its junction with the Centreline of Saunder Bank for a distance of 73.48 metres in a north easterly direction.
The tables will have a maximum height not exceeding 75 mm.
A copy of the relevant notice and plan, indicating the proposal may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
