(REVOCATION OF 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Council intends to make an Order under Sections 1 and 2 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is as set out in the Schedule below.

A copy of the draft Order, plan and statement of reasons can be inspected on the Council's Internet Website https://www.npt.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders-tros

Any objections should be submitted in writing, setting out the reasons thereof, to reach the Head of Engineering and Transport, The Quays, Baglan Energy Park SA11 2GG by 6th July 2026.

SCHEDULE
Schedule 1 - Revocation of 40 MPH Speed Limit
1.1 (A4107 Afan Valley Road, Abergwynfi to Port Talbot) and (A4109 Inter Valley Road, Banwen/Onllwyn) (30 and 40 MPH Speed Limits) Order 2005

Schedule 2.1 Swyn y Nant Blaengwynfi
From its junction with the A4107 Afan Valley Road for a distance of approximately 195 metres in an easterly direction.

For clarification the aforementioned section of road will now default to a restricted road status of 20mph by virtue of street lighting.
