Nottinghamshire - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A616, A6075, A60, A6117, A617, A611, A608 AND A610)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, WAITING, LOADING and UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (BX26-006)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council (with the consent of Derbyshire County Council) intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Newark & Sherwood District, Mansfield District, Ashfield District, Broxtowe Borough and Amber Valley District.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following lengths of road:
a. A608 Kelham Way, Eastwood, between its junction with A608 Mansfield Road and A608 Derby Road.
b. A608 Mansfield Road, Eastwood, between its junction with A608 Derby Road and Hall Park Drive.
c. Langley Mill Bypass, Eastwood, in a northerly direction between the northbound off slip and a point approximately 750 metres north of that point.
d. Northbound on Slip from A608 roundabout, its whole length.
e. A610 to New Derby Road roundabout off slip, Eastwood, its whole length.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (Both sides) (At Any Time) in the following lengths of road:
a. Mansfield Road, Underwood, the whole of the layby approximately 80 metres west of the junction with the Junction 27 roundabout.
b Cauldwell Road, Mansfield, between its junctions with A60 Nottingham Road, Mansfield and Cauldwell Road, Sutton in Ashfield.
c Cauldwell Road, Sutton in Ashfield, between its junctions with Cauldwell Road, Mansfield and A611 Derby Road, Kirkby in Ashfield.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Saturday 25th July 2026 Until 23th January 2028 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
1 a,b,c A610 Kimberley Eastwood Bypass; B6010 Nottingham Road, Giltbrook; B6010 Dovecote Road, Eastwood; B600 Moorgreen; A608 Cordy Lane Brinsley; A608 Church Road, Brinsley; A608 Mansfield Road, Eastwood and vice versa
1 d,e A608 New Derby Road, Heanor; Cromford Road, Langley Mill; A610 from Cromford Road to Langley Mill Bypass; A610 Langley Mill Bypass and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Friday 24th July 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Colletts Haulage to carry out Multiple Abnormal Load Movements at various dates to be confirmed.
