(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (R26-125)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Cropwell Butler in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Hardigate Road, Cropwell Butler - From its junction with Radcliffe Road to its junction with The Fosse.
b. Main Street, Cropwell Butler - From its junction with Hardigate Road to its junction with Tithby Road.
c. Tithby Road, Cropwell Butler - From its junction with Main Street to its junction with Cropwell Bishop Road.
d. Radcliffe Road, Cropwell Butler - From its junction with Main Street to its junction with The Fosse.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 09:00 hours on Thursday 25th June 2026
Until 14:30 hours on Tuesday 28th July 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Hardigate Road, Cropwell Butler (From 25th June 2026 to 29th June 2026) - Main Street - Radcliffe Road - Vice versa
b. Hardigate Road, Cropwell Butler (From 30th June 2026 to 06 th July 2026) - The Fosse, Radcliffe on Trent - A46 Roundabout To Dual At A52 Bingham Island, Rushcliffe - A52 Grantham Road, Radcliffe on Trent - Cropwell Road, Radcliffe on Trent - Cropwell Road, Cropwell Butler - Vice versa
c. Main Street, Cropwell Butler (From 07th July 2026 to 13th July 2026) - Radcliffe Road, Cropwell Butler - The Fosse, Cotgrave - Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop - Church Street, Cropwell Bishop - Cropwell Butler Road, Cropwell Bishop - Cropwell Bishop Road, Cropwell Butler - Tithby Road, Cropwell Butler - Vice versa
d. Tithby Road, Cropwell Butler (From 14th July 2026 to 16th July 2026) - Main Street, Cropwell Butler - Radcliffe Road, Cropwell Butler - The Fosse, Cotgrave - Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop - Church Street, Cropwell Bishop - Cropwell Butler Road, Cropwell Bishop - Cropwell Bishop Road, Cropwell Butler - Vice versa
e. Radcliffe Road, Cropwell Butler (From 17th July 2026 to 28th July 2026) - The Fosse, Cotgrave - Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop - Church Street, Cropwell Bishop - Cropwell Butler Road, Cropwell Bishop - Cropwell Bishop Road, Cropwell Butler - Tithby Road, Cropwell Butler - Main Street, Cropwell Butler - Vice versa
The Order will come into force on Thursday 25th June 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via to carry out carriageway repairs;
