What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A229 Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, TN18 4BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow overhead fibre cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, on or after 1st July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside property number 14, from the junction of Ockley Road for a distance approximately 225 metres in a South East direction towards Rye Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, A229 Angley Road, A229 Wisley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, A262 Church Road, A262 High Street, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A21 Lamberhurst Bypass, A21 Scotney Castle Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 London Road, A268 Hawkhurst Road, A268 High Street, A229 Cranbrook Road and vice versa.



Bedford Road, Southborough, TN4 0HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bedford Road, Southborough, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 27. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Meadow Road, A26 London Road, Western Road and vice versa.



Ethnam Lane, Sandhurst, TN18 5PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ethnam Lane, Sandhurst, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of the A268 Rye Road to the farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



First Street, Langton Green, TN3 0EU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow cover and frame replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of First Street, Langton Green, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed to the side of Blue India. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via First Street, Salisbury Road, A264 Langton Road and vice versa.



Frittenden Road, Lashenden, TN27 8LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new electric cable installation and connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Frittenden Road, Lashenden, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Lashenden. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Frittenden Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 North Street, A262 Tenterden Road, A262 High Street, A262 Sissinghurst Road, Hareplain Road, Frittenden Road and vice versa.



Goddards Green Road, East End, TN17 4AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway drainage installation and footway construction works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goddards Green Road, East End, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 68 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Green Lane to property named Wood Stock. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, Golford Road, Tenterden Road, Cranbrook Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road and vice versa.



Herons Way, Pembury, TN2 4DH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow service cable repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Herons Way, Pembury, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 63. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
