Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
A254 Margate Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2FF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A254 Margate Road, Broadstairs, on or after 16th June 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 11 The Link, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A254 Margate Road, New Cross Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, A254 Pearce Signs Roundabout and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
A254 Ramsgate Road, Margate, CT9 1LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A254 Ramsgate Road, Margate, on or after 30th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 28 Flat 1 Vicarage Crescent, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A254 Queens Avenue, A255 Grosvenor Gradens, A255 High Street, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Dane Court Road, A256 Westwood Road, A254 Pearce Signs Roundabout, A254 Margate Road and A254 Ramsgate Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Margate Road, A254 Pearce Signs Roundabout, A256 Westwood Road, A255 Dane Court Road, A255 St Peters Road and A255 Ramsgate Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
A299 Thanet WAY, St Nicholas at wade (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of highway repair and maintenance works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on A299 Thanet Way, St Nicholas At Wade, as per the schedule below.
This Order takes effect on or after 1st July 2026 for a period of up to 3 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start. Road closures and other restrictions will be in effect when the appropriate signage and barriers are in place.
SCHEDULE
A299 Thanet Way, St Nicholas At Wade
The road will be closed between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only.
From A299 St Nicholas Roundabout to A299 Monkton Roundabout.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A253 Canterbury Road, A253 Ramsgate Road, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Addington Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Street, Ramsgate, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 44 Flat 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2054 Paragon, B2054 St Augustines Road, B2054 Grange Road, B2054 London Road, West Cliff Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Addiscombe Road, B2052 College Road & A255 St Peters Road, Margate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addiscombe Road, B2052 College Road & A255 St Peters Road, Margate, on or after 2nd July 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
Closures will be imposed between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Addiscombe Road will be closed from the double roundabouts to the junction of Addiscombe Gardens.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addiscombe Road, Durban Road, B2052 College Road, B2052 Millmead Road, B2052 Northdown Park Road, B2053 Green Lane, B2053 Northdown Hill, B2053 Westover Road, B2053 Beacon Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, A256 Westwood Road, A254 Pearce Signs Roundabout, A254 Margate Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, B2052 College Road and vice versa.
B2052 College Road will be closed between the junctions of Connaught Road and Durban Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A255 St Peters Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, A254 Ramsgate Road and B2052 College Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via B2052 College Road, Tivoli Road, Beatrice Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Queens Avenue, A255 Grosvenor Gardens, A255 High Street and A255 St Peters Road.
A255 St Peters Road will be closed between the junctions of Drapers Avenue and Sussex Avenue.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 St Peters Road, A255 Dane Court Road, A256 Westwood Road, A254 Pearce Signs Roundabout, A254 Margate Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, B2052 College Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Street, Broadstairs, CT10 2TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Broadstairs, on or after 18th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Old Forge and Victoria Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, Vicarage Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dundonald Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9RE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dundonald Road, Ramsgate, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dundonald Road, Crescent Road, Grange Road, Ellington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Grove Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grove Road, Ramsgate, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 25, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grove Road, Marlborough Road, North Avenue, Elms Avenue, Ellington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hertford Place, Ramsgate, CT11 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hertford Place, Ramsgate, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 15, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Hertford Place, Addington Street, Albert Street and Hertford Street.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Hertford Street, Albert Street, Liverpool Lawn, Prospect Terrace, Nelson Crescent, B2054 Royal Parade, Addington Street and Hertford Place.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Langham Close & Cameilla Close, Margate (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Langham Close & Cameilla Close, Margate, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Langham Close will have a prohibition of right turn. The restriction will be imposed turning right from Langham Close onto A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, Waverley Road, B2052 George V Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road and Langham Close.
Camellia Close will have a prohibition of right turn. The restriction will be imposed turning right from Camellia Close onto A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, High Street, Balmoral Road, Crow Hill Road, Maynard Road, A28 Canterbury Road and Cameilla Close.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Reading Street, Broadstairs, CT10 3AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Reading Street, Broadstairs, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Copper Beech, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Reading Street, Convent Road, B2052 Joss Gap Road, Elmwood Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Victoria Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2SJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Broadstairs, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Victoria Road, Livingstone Road, B2053 Albion Road, Church Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
