What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A20 London Road, West Kingsdown, TN15 6EJ (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new gas service connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A20 London Road, West Kingsdown, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane will be suspended outside Poulton House on both sides of the road as and when required.
B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill, TN14 6BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill, on or after 30th June 2026 for up to 2 days between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Whitley Farm for approx. 100m in a northerly direction.
The alternative route is via B2024 Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street/Westerham Road, B2026 Hosey Hill/Hosey Common Road, B2026 Main Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road/Green Lane/Wheatsheaf Hill and vice versa.
Broad Lane, Fordcombe, TN3 0SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broad Lane, Fordcombe, on or after 16th June 2026 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to Fitchetts Farm.
The alternative route is via Chafford Lane, B2188 Fordcombe Road, A264 Ashurst Road, Broad Lane and vice versa.
Dibden Lane, Ide Hill, TN14 6BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dibden Lane, Ide Hill, on or after 30th June 2026 for up to 2 days between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from a point approx. 100m east of the junction with B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, for a further 100m in an easterly direction.
The alternative route is via Dibden Lane, Oak Lane, A225 High Street, A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, A25 Worships Hill, B2042 Cold Arbor Road and vice versa.
Franks Lane, Horton Kirby, DA4 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Franks Lane, Horton Kirby, on or after 17th June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near Blackdale Barn.
The alternative route is via Eglantine Lane, A20 London Road, A225 Dartford Road, Franks Lane and vice versa.
Holmesdale Hill, South Darenth, DA4 9JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holmesdale Hill, South Darenth, on or after 18th June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Tree Tops.
The alternative route is via Paddock Close, East Hill, Holmesdale Road, Holmesdale Hill and vice versa.
Leonard Avenue, Otford, TN14 5PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Leonard Avenue, Otford, on or after 4th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Clandon.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Poundsbridge Hill, Penshurst, TN3 0RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Poundsbridge Hill, Penshurst, on or after 16th June 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 45m north of the junction with Coopers Lane.
The alternative route is via Poundsbridge Hill, Poundsbridge, Penshurst Road, Langton Road, Speldhurst Road, The Green, A264 Ashurst Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road, The Lane, Poundsbridge Lane and vice versa.
Victoria Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 9LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 30th June 2026 for up to 2 days between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed to the rear of number 61 London Road.
The alternative route is via Victoria Road, Argyle Road, Granville Road, South Park, Lime Tree Walk and vice versa.
Watery Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of drainage works to prevent further flooding to the highway, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Watery Lane, Kemsing, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from The Old Granary to Honeypot Lane.
The alternative route is via Watery Lane, Honey Pot Lane, Noahs Ark, St Ediths Road, West End, Childsbridge Lane, Church Street, A25 High Street, A25 Maidstone Road, Broad Oak Lane and vice versa.
Weald Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1SP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Weald Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 73A and 77.
The alternative route is via Weald Road, Hubbards Hill, Glebe Road, Morleys Road, A225 Riverhill, A225 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
