Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
A2034 Cheriton Road, Folkestone (SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A2034 Cheriton Road, Folkestone, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will have a suspension of cycle lane imposed outside Folkestone Indoor Bowls Association. The restriction will be imposed between the hours of 09:00 and 14:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Albert Road, Hythe, CT21 6BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Albert Road, Hythe, on or after 16th June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of 44 Park Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Park Road, St Leonards Road, Albert Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Archer Road, Folkestone, CT19 5SF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Archer Road, Folkestone, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Dawson Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dawson Road, Linden Crescent, A259 Black Bull Road, Canterbury Road, Archer Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Botolphs Bridge Road, Hythe, CT21 4NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Botolphs Bridge Road, Hythe, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 50m either side of Rock Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Botolphs Bridge Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Hythe Road, Burmarsh Road, Donkey Street, Lower Wall Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bowdell Lane, Brenzett (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bowdell Lane, Brenzett, on or after 5th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 01:00 and 04:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bowdell Lane, B2080 Rhee Wall Road, B2080 Brenzett Corner Roundabout, King Street, Brack Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Road, Hythe, CT21 5JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Hythe, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of North Road to approximately 50m past a property called Tynwold Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via North Road, Station Road, Dental Street, Bartholomew Street, Upper Malthouse Hill, Hillside Street, Church Approach, Oak Walk, Church Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Coombe Road, Folkestone, CT19 4EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coombe Road, Folkestone, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Morehall Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Road, Surrenden Road, B2064 Cheriton Road and Coombe Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Grove Lane, Brookland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grove Lane, Brookland, on or after 5th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 01:00 and 04:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grove Lane, Kennards Lane, Brack Lane, Snargate Lane, B2080 Rhee Wall Road, Bowdell Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lymbridge Green, Stowting Common, TN25 6BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lymbridge Green, Stowting Common, on or after 3rd July 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Paddock View for approximately 180m in an Easterly direction, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lymbridge Green, Maxted Street, Whatsole Street, Big Pett and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
New Street, Lydd, TN29 9DZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Street, Lydd, on or after 17th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Street, Coronation Square, Cannon Street, B2075 High Street, B2075 Station Road, Ness Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sandling Road, Sandling & Saltwood & The Green, Saltwood (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandling Road, Sandling & Saltwood & The Green, Saltwood, on or after 29th June 2026 for up to 89 days or until the works have been completed.
Closures are planned in 3 phases as detailed below, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Phase 1 - Sandling Road will be closed from outside Sandling Railway Station to outside Old Stone Farm.
Phase 2 - Sandling Road will be closed from outside Old Stone Farm to the junction of Highfield Close.
Phase 3 - Sandling Road will be closed between the junctions of Highfield Close and New Road,
The Green will be closed between the junctions of New Road and Brockhill Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandling Road, A20 Ashford Road, B2068 Stanford Intersection, A20 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A261 Hythe Road, A261 London Road, Barrack Hill, North Road, Bartholomew Lane, Brockhill Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
