What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

Appledore Road, Kenardington, TN26 2NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026

To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Appledore Road, Kenardington from 29th June 2026, with estimated completion by 3rd July 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Little Heron Den, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Appledore Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, Kenardington Road, Bench Hill, Woodchurch Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Boys Hall Road, Willesborough, TN24 0HU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Boys Hall Road, Willesborough from 1st July 2026, with estimated completion by 3rd July 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Boys Hall, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Bridge Street, Wye, TN25 5EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026

To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bridge Street, Wye from on 21st June 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 00:15 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20m either side of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bridge Street, Churchfield Way, Church Street, Oxenturn Road, Naccolt Road, Hinxhill Road From Junction With Goodcheap Lane To Nackolt Road, Hinxhill Road, Honeysuckle Avenue, Hythe Road, Willesborough Interchange, A2070 M20 J10 Roundabout, A2070 Kennington Road, Willesborough Road, Canterbury Road, Harville Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Brookfield Road, Ashford, TN23 4EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Brookfield Road, Ashford from 17th June 2026 with estimated completion by 20th June 2026, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Beaver Lane and Halstow Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beaver Lane, Cross Stile and Brookfield Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Etchden Road, Bethersden, TN26 3DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026

To allow water replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Etchden Road, Bethersden from 1st July 2026, with estimated completion by 3rd July 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of East Quarter, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Fridd Lane, Old Surrenden Manor Road, Ashford Road, The Street, Ninn Lane, Etchden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



High Halden Road, Biddenden.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Halden Road, Biddenden from 17th June 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Little Ansdore, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Halden Road, River Hall Lane, Pook Lane and Wagstaff Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Old Surrenden Manor Road, Bethersden.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026

To allow defect works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old Surrenden Manor Road, Bethersden from 17th June 2026, with estimated completion by 18th June 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Water Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Surrenden Manor Road, Mill Road, Forge Hill, A28 Ashford Road, Old Surrenden Manor Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Rock Hill Road, Egerton, TN27 9EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026

To allow fire hydrant repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rock Hill Road, Egerton from 15th June 2026, with estimated completion by 22nd June 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 1 Crocken Hill Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rock Hill Road, New Road, Egerton Road, Forge Hill, Smarden Road, The Pinnock, Mundy Bois Road, Rock Hill Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Woodchurch Road, High Halden, TN26 3FA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Woodchurch Road, High Halden from 17th June 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Coomb View and the junction with Martens Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plurenden Road, Bethersden Road, Woodchurch Road, A28 Ashford Road, Church Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
