What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 18th May 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Salamanca Street, Torpoint between the junctions with Elliot Square and Barossa Place.
The Order which commenced on the 1st June 2026 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 26th June 2026.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because footway improvement works are being executed on or near the road.
Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and
anything done with the permission of or at the discretion
of a police officer.
Pedestrian and access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 15th June 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Polperro.
This prohibition is necessary for fire hydrant repairs and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th June 2026 to 1st July 2026.
The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0700, weekdays only.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 15th June 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Blunts.
This prohibition is necessary for parapet repairs and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th June 2026 to 3rd July 2026.

road in Callington.
This prohibition is necessary for fibre overhead cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 21st July 2026, for one day.
The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930
and 1530, weekdays only.
