Westwood Avenue - Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

WESTWOOD AVENUE, BRADFORD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of gas works proposed to be executed on or near Westwood Avenue, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Westwood Avenue from its junction with Norman Lane to a point outside No.2 Westwood Avenue.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Westwood Avenue (unaffected section), Norman Grove, Norman Avenue, Norman Lane and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 22nd June 2026 and remain in force until 23:55 hours on the 3rd July 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
