THE A38 TRUNK ROAD (ALLESTREE, DERBYSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an order on the A38 Trunk Road, at Allestree, in the County of Derbyshire, to allow BT to carry out works to erect a new pole.
The effect of the Order will be to close the slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A38 Abbey Hill, to the roundabout junction with the A6 Duffield Road, at Allestree.
The work is expected to be carried out between
09:00 hours and 15:00 hours on Wednesday 24 June 2026. The Order will come into force on 17 June 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure.
A diversion route via A38 Markeaton Island will be signed.
