(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 (HOB LANE, NORLAND)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by OCU Group have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Hob Lane from its junction with Goose Nest Lane to New Hobbit Hotel for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Hob Lane, Sowerby Croft Lane, Shaw Lane, Hob Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 15thJune 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 3rd July 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Stainland Road, New Hey Road, Lindley Moor Road, Calderdale Way, Elland Wood Bottom and vice versa.
