What is happening?

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road in Heversham;
(i) U5340, Heversham from its junction with the C5072, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 30 metres.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
(ii) Mabbin Hall Lane (U5341), Heversham, from its junction with the C5072, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 160 metres.
Alternative Route: Via the unrestricted section of Mabbin Hall Lane, White Lane, Woodhouse Lane and the C5072.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 3rd July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 1 day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
