(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U5291, Grayrigg, from a point approx. 560 metres north west of its junction with the U5292, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 170 metres.
A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U5291, U5292, A685 and the C5069.

The Order will come into operation on 1st July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will be required for 18 months and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
