(as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(FERNY KNOLL ROAD, ST HELENS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along Ferny Knoll Road between Ferny Knoll House and Ferny Knoll, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order will come into force on Thursday 23rd July, 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be one week. The alternative route will be via Nipe Lane, Whiteledge Road, Gillibrands Road, B5312 Railway Road, B5312 Liverpool Road, B5312 Skelmersdale Road, A570 Rainford Road, Bushey Lane and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate an electricity disconnection.
