NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North Herts Council (pursuant to arrangement made with Hertfordshire County Council) has made the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce Restriction of Waiting along both sides of Stormont Road, Hitchin and part of Heathfield Road, Hitchin, a Disabled Persons parking place, a Goods Vehicle Loading Bay and a Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading restriction on Bancroft, Hitchin as described in the Schedules to this Notice.
The above-named Orders will come into force on 29th June 2026.
Copies of the Orders, the plan and the statement of reasons may be inspected during normal office hours (by appointment only) at: The Offices Of North Hertfordshire District Council, Gernon Road, Letchworth, and on the Council’s website at: www.north-herts.gov.uk, under the Hitchin section. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are published may apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Stormont Road, part of Heathfield Road, Hitchin, both sides – No waiting 10:00am to 11:00am and 4:00pm to 5:00pm Monday to Friday inclusive, As shown on the Plan MH/25/00069/TRO/Plan
SCHEDULE 2
Bancroft, Hitchin, on the western side, outside building number 22 Bancroft. Disabled Badge Holders Only Monday to Saturday 7:00am – 7:00pm. As shown on the Plan MH/25/00062/TRO/Bancroft02
SCHEDULE 3
Bancroft, Hitchin, on the western side, outside building number 22 Bancroft. Goods Vehicles Only Monday – Saturday 7:00am – 7:00pm. As shown on the Plan MH/25/00062/TRO/Bancroft03
SCHEDULE 4
Bancroft, Hitchin on the eastern side from 107a southwards to 112 Bancroft. Bancroft, Hitchin on the western side from 18 Bancroft in a northerly direction to the southern building line of building 22.
