WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, SOUTH LAKELAND LOCALITY)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.7) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs and when the temporary closures are in force.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 373 3306 or via the Westmorland and Furness Council website. The references to quote are detailed in the schedule.

The Order will come into operation on 29th June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for those dates as stated in the Schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. Back Lane, Sedgwick – From 29th June 2026 for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROW/18888)

From its junction with The Walled Garden, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 35 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Back Lane, U5656 and the C5075.

2. Kirkhead Road, Kents Bank – From 6th July 2026 for Approx. duration 9 days (Ref: TTROW/18781)

From a point approx. 100 metres south east of its junction with Allithwaite Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 190 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the Kirkhead Road, Allithwaite Road, Carter Road, Kentsford Road and the U5664.

3. C5076, Levens – From 6th July 2026 for Approx. duration 18 days Ref: TTROW/18860

(i) C5076, Levens, from its junction with the A590, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 275 metres.

(ii) C5076, Levens, from a point approx. 245 metres north west of its junction with the A590, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 35 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C5076, U5654, A590, A6 and the C5059.

4. Havelock Road, Windermere – From 3rd August 2026 for Approx. duration 5 days (Ref: TTROW/19268)

From a point approx. 5 metres south west of its junction with Salisbury Place, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 25 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Havelock Road, Oak Street, Crescent Road (A5074), Main Road, High Street, Victoria Street, Crescent Road (A5074), Birch Street and Salisbury Place.

5. Flinter Gill, Dent – From 10th August 2026 for Approx. duration 10 days (Ref: TTROW/19345)

From a point approx. 30 metres south west of its junction with the U5505, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 25 metres.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
