TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH AAS 5 (ASHCHURCH RURAL PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath AAS 5 from its junction with Public Bridleway AAS 6 extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 195 metres.
The said Public Footpath falls within the Parish of Ashchurch Rural in the Tewkesbury Borough, within the County of Gloucestershire
The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst construction works are completed.
This Temporary Closure Order came into force on the 13th June 2024. As works were still ongoing, the Secretary of State granted an extension of the Order until 13th June 2026. However, as works are still ongoing the Secretary of State has now granted a further extension of the said Order until 13th June 2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
